Hi y’all!

My name is Meri Parko and I’m the head mermaid behind Mermaid Treasures Fiber Arts. I’ve lived a nomadic lifestyle until a few years ago when I fell in love with a viking that planted my feet in Missouri. Between the two of us we have 3 kiddos, 2 of my own and a bonus one! And because the house wasn’t crazy enough with kids alone, we have furbabies too.

I am a fiber artist who picked up a crochet hook just a few short years ago. From there I’ve recently added knitting and dyeing to my repertoire of fiber skills and am now learning to prepare fiber and spin it into yarn. I love continuing to grow my skills and surround myself with others that share the same obsession of making magic with yarn.

Other than the time I dedicate to family and fiber, I work full time at a company that feels more like a family than a job. I also am an avid gamer. If I don’t have yarn in hand it’s probably because I have a controller or dice in my grasp.

Can’t forget to mention my hockey obsession either. (Let’s Go Blues!)
